We Belong To Each Other

"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other." -Mother Teresa

Hello world! I am Violetta and I am working to create an equal and loving co-existence among all walks of life. I believe that all beings should be respected and granted a comfortable existence in a natural, fear-free, and safe environment. I am fueled by random acts of kindness and I hope you will join me in this path toward a peaceful co-existence. My goal (to start!) is to emphasize the importance of the following issues:

Bullying

With recent current events proving the seriousness of bullying, it is now more than ever that we need to put an end to this atrocious behavior. While the internet provides yet another outlet for adolescent harassment, it also permits for a communal voice which comforts victims by telling them that they are not alone.

Animal Cruelty

While so many people consider themselves to be animal lovers, most consumers are simply unaware of the many daily products they use which harm and/or exploit animals. There are many effortless ways to avoid the promotion of animal cruelty in your everyday life.

Sexism

From sexual exploitation to unequal pay, sexism is an issue that dominates in the call for immediate change. Societal gender stereotypes are responsible for provoking such continued behavior and need to be broken down. It is crucial to consider each human being for the person that he or she is and the unique qualities and contributions that that person is capable of making to this world.

Racism

There are many parallels between sexism and racism that fundamentally scream for the need of basic equality. Every single being is born into circumstances that are entirely uncontrollable to them, how is any one person entitled to judge or distinguish priority over another? It is nothing short of an embarrassment that racism is still an issue that surrounds us, but every person inching toward the idea of equality is a leap in the right direction.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence generally affects victims who are in a seemingly powerless and vulnerable position, unable to stop their predators. People who commit acts of domestic violence tend to be power seekers with severe insecurity issues (as we also see as a commonality in other attackers: bullies, animal abusers, sexual predators, etc.). Much like bully victims, children and adults involved in domestic violence situations often feel trapped and can only benefit from the knowledge and power that will allow them to escape.

Chances are, you (directly or indirectly/through someone you know) have related to one or more of these issues. Choosing to live cruelty free envelopes many aspects of human life and there are very simple changes that can be made to directly address the problems at hand. I am looking forward to spreading the words that might encourage these advances in knowledge and kindness.
